In the construction of this online information source, the Worshipful Company of the Armourers and Brasiers aspires not only to provide information about the Company’s historical significance, charitable activity and support of Material Science education, but also to promote their Banquet and Conference Facilities and to communicate with their members.

The secure, database-driven Members’ Area of the site is identified by a tasteful yet striking shift in the colour scheme, and it offers logged in members the ability to view events, member details and news articles, as well as to download printable PDF versions of the Company’s newsletters. This section is fully searchable, and is easily controlled, updated, managed and expanded via the online administration area.

The Armourers' Company was founded in 1322 and has occupied the same site in the City of London since 1346. Joining with the Brasiers (workers in copper and brass) in 1708, the Company is now one of the leading charities in the UK supporting metallurgy and materials science education from primary school to postgraduate levels.
